Amanda, adopted April 2012
WROC found the most perfect family for me. Mom & Dad, Roxanne & Jeff, are so kind and gentle with me. I love them VERY much. I have a Westie sister, Sugar, who is teaching me how to play. But I really love Mom the most. Thank you WROC for saving me and finding my perfect home. Many kisses, Amanda
AMANDA'S ORIGINAL STORY: Hello, my name is Amanda. I am a small 12 pound, 5 year old, Westie girl. I am so happy that I came to WROC. I have discovered the joy of soft squeaky toys and I have my favorite pink pig. I carry it around the house squeaking as I go - such fun! It takes me a bit to trust, but once I know you, I am your best friend and I will follow you everywhere. I love being held and I snuggle and give soft kisses. I am current on all my shots, microchipped and spayed. Sweet Westie Kisses, Amanda

DENNY'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Denny and I am a 5 year old neutered male. I came to WROC because my owners did not have time for me. I was scared and really concerned until my foster Dad picked me up, gave me a hug, and told me everything was going to be great. I am sure that my new life is going to be wonderful. iam a fun boy, full of spunk, and I love walking with the Westies. I am ready for a family who will love me forever. XOXO Denny
Ernie, Adopted April 2012
I was adopted by Mom Cari, 3 great human sisters, Cami, Bekah, Nina, and Westie Georgie. This is such a great place to be - I get to be my puppy self and run, jump, and play with Georgie. We are having the best time. Thank you WROC for giving me this wonderful new life. I am in puppy heaven!! Love & Kisses, Ernie
ERNIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: I do not know how it happened, but I found myself in a very high kill shelter. I was really scared of all the noise and very fearful that I would never get to grow up and have puppy fun. Lucky boy that I am, WROC was watching and came for me when I was available to rescue. I am 9 pounds, neutered, microchipped and current on all my shots, so I am a "big boy" and ready to go. Give WROC a little time and they will tell you about all of my puppy qualities. XOXO Ernie PS I have sweet puppy breath!!
Taylor, Adopted April 2012
I was adopted by previous WROC adopters, Jeremy & Kurt. I am joining the ever playful Ricky and we are having a grand time. Run, play, chase, jump, grab the ball, you name it, we do it! This is a great family and I am a very happy dog. We will always remember sweet Westie Evita. She is our guardian angel. XOXO Taylor
TAYLOR'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Taylor and I am a 1-2 year old neutered male. The San Diego animal shelter found me and immediately called WROC because my ear was hurt and my skin was itchy and they knew that WROC always comes through for us Westies. The WROC network went into full swing, pulled me out of the shelter, bathed me, and transported me to the beautiful OC. I I love to play, steal things and run through the house chasing the other Westies. I am a little clown and will dance for my dinner. I am current on all my shots and microchipped. If you are ready for an fun boy like me, I am ready for you. XOXO Taylor
Mellie, Adopted March 2012
Do you know about the stars and moon aligning? Well that's what happened for me. My new Mom Pat has known about WROC for several years. She came to WROC's Walkathon, hoping for a new addition to her family and WROC found me a few days later. The rest is history. We are absolutely ecstatic with each other. She is the best Mom ever and says that I am the light of her life. My new life could not be any better. Big Kisses, Mellie
MELLIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Mellie and I am brand new to WROC. I am an adorable, sweet, 8 year old girl and I will love you forever. Give WROC a little more time and they will tell you more about adorable little me. XOXO Mel
Rider, now Wrigley, Adopted March 2012
I hit the jackpot when WROC found my new Mom, Stephanie, for me. My new life is everything that I ever hoped for, plenty of toys, great food, and so much love. Thank you WROC from the happiest Westie ever!! Love, Wrigley
NOTE FROM MOM STEPHANIE: He is so amazing!! It's like he has lived here forever. He is so settled in. :) He has lots of friends in the complex too. He is happy ALL the time. I LOVE him!
RIDER'S ORIGINAL STORY: I was so neglected by my owner, left outside to fend for myself. The food was sparse, I lost weight and my hair became brittle and fell out. I was itchy and miserable, so I took things into my own paws. I escaped and I ran as far and fast as I could. I was exhausted and scared and had given up hope, then animal control found me and took me to the
shelter. Little did I know WROC had been following my story and the moment I was available to rescue, they took me home. Now I am eating great food and getting warm baths to heal my body and soul. I am well on the road to recovery and I am happy again. I love to play ball and I love to walk in the park. I am 4-5 years old, neutered, current on all my shots, and micro-chipped. I will be waiting for you. XO Rider
Ian, Adopted March 2012
By playing my cards right, I landed myself the best home ever! My new folks Margaret and Herb took me home with them prepared to raise a baby. I knew my good looks and puppy antics would win them over so I figure I'll give them a run of it for a while and then let them think they trained me well. I am getting lots of exercise and am eating good. Thank you WROC for giving me a wonderful new life! Love, Ian
NOTE FOR MOM MARGARET: He is our baby boy with attitude! Everyone in the neighborhood has met Ian and thinks he is adorable! He seems to already be at home...ate my slippers, snagged the baby wipes and shredded the package. It's all good because we are under his spell!
IAN'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Ian and our vet thinks I am about 1 year old. I am extremely active, curious and a whole lot of fun! I am current on my shots, neutered and microchipped. I am a beautiful, sweet boy, looking for adventure and fun. Love, Ian

I was adopted by previous adopters Jenny, Stan, Eli, and Jack. They are taking really good care of me and I am very happy to be home!! XOXO Mac
MAC'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is MacIntosh and I traveled a long way to get to WROC. The trip was exhausting, but it was so worth it to find myself in beautiful Southern California. I am 6-7 years old, neutered, current on all my shots and microchipped. I am a wonderful companion, love to snuggle right next to you, and I give the greatest kisses. My foster Mom says I am stunningly beautiful - bet she says that to all the boys! I am really ready to settle into my new family. Could that be you? I would love to hear from you. XOXO Mac
Pixie, Adopted February 2012
I spent 297 days with WROC and travelled a very long road to recovery, but here I am, a beautiful Westie with a wonderful new Mom, Marge. We took one look at each other and knew that it was meant to be. I am particularly grateful to Karen E and Terri who helped with my rehabilitation. Thank you WROC, miracles really do happen!! Happy Westie Kisses, Pixie
PIXIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: I am about 6 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and current on all my shots. I am a hoot to be around, and if you noticed my picture, I am dazzling. My motto is: GIRL’s RULE! I have a lot of girl power. My foster mom gives me a bath as a part of my regular maintenance once a week. I always sit nicely in the tub for my bath, as it makes me feel really good. I also take a pill, Atopica, once a day that keeps my skin from becoming itchy. I adore people to pieces. I would most enjoy sleeping and relaxing next to you. I would prefer to be your only dog, so I can get all the attention! I am waiting for my new forever home. I promise to love you forever! Pixie

Simba, Adopted February 2012
I found my new forever home with Brad, Toby and Kacie. My wonderful new life has begun and they love me very much. Thank you WROC for finding me a perfect family. Love Simba
SIMBA'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Simba and I am 7 years old, neutered, current on my shots and microchipped. I was turned over to WROC by my owner because their life circumstances changed and they knew WROC would find me the perfect home. I am learning new things here such as leash and potty training and I just discovered a squeaky toy! It scared me at first but now I am very fascinated with them. I am a little shy at first but I do warm up rather quickly. I sleep very well in my crate at night as long as its next to my person. I am a gorgeous boy that is looking for my forever home. Until then, all the other Westies here will keep me company until I meet you. Love, Simba
Amelia & Simone, Adopted February 2012
Most thought we were an unlikely pair, but when new Mom Gina laid her eyes upon us, she knew instantly that we are kindred spirits. Without a second thought, we went home with her. Mom takes us to work every day where we get to play all day long at the Barkley day camp. The best part is that we get to stay together! Thank you WROC for finding us the perfect forever home. Love Amelia & Simone
Note from Mom Gina: The girls have adjusted beautifully and I cannot imagine life without them. Amelia knows that she and Simone are home for good so her wonderful personality shines brighter each day. These two girls are glued to each other. I am in awe of these beautiful girls and we couldn't be any happier!
Chancey, Adopted February 2012
We wanted to let you know that Chancey is doing fantastic! He’s eating well and still is as calm as ever. He loves to take a walk and he is beginning to enjoy the back yard. He is very inquisitive, checking everything out. He sticks close to one or the other of us. He has slept on our bed since we brought him home with no problems. He is definitely a “lover”. We took him to our vet yesterday. She found him to be in excellent condition. We cannot thank you enough for finding us our Chancey! Dave & Mary
CHANCEY'S ORIGINAL STORY: If you are looking for sweet, then here I am. I somehow got lost and ended up in the shelter. I had almost given up hope, but one sunny California day, my kennel door opened, and there was my WROC rescuer. I am a beautiful 6-7 year old neutered male. I will be the perfect addition to your family and I will love you forever. Chancey
Lindy, Adopted February 2012
I was adopted by Carol Ann, Howard, and my new pal Petey. They are everything that I could hope for in a new family. Mom says that I am a joy to them and I have to say I am one very joyful Westie. Thank WROC, I am home. XOXO Lindy
LINDY'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Lindy and I am a 4 year old spayed female. My previous owner dropped me off at the shelter because they did not have any time for me. It was obvious that I was neglected because my coat and skin are in pretty bad shape. But I am a lucky girl because the shelter knew that WROC is famous for treating girls like me. They helped arrange transport and here I am in sunny Southern California. I am a gentle playful girl. I like to walk in the park and I love perching on the couch and watching the Westies go by. Special Westie Kisses, Lindy
Bubbles, Adopted February 2012
I want to thank everybody ever had anything at all to do with the making of this picture. I am overwhelmed, deeply touched but very humbled. I never dreamed I would win such a life changing award. There are so many to thank...my chauffeur for bringing me to So Cal where dreams do come true, my agents that always looked out for my best interest, my hairdresser for making me look fabulous 24/7, my foster pals who taught me the art of play, my personal dog walker who took me out on neighborhood adventures. But I want to thank my parents, Carol & William for giving me the opportunity at such a wonderful life. If it were not for them I would not be where I am today. Thank you all so very much. I love you all! Bubbles
BUBBLE'S ORIGINAL STORY: Bubbles is a very sweet girl, current on her shots, spayed, microchipped and estimated to be between 7-8 years old. She kisses every one she meets and does a little dance to let them know she is happy to meet them. Bubbles will be a great addition to a new family that will spoil her, but the real reward is the love she gives back.
Brady, Adopted February 2012
Thank you WROC for finding Bob for me. He is the most amazing Dad ever!! We are having a great time and he is taking such excellent care of me. I have finally found the home where I was meant to be. Huge Westie Kisses, Brady
BRADY'S ORIGINAL STORY: Hi there, my name is Brady. My previous owner tried to take care of me, but her health issues landed me home alone with no where to go and no one to love me. I got food but precious little else for 2 weeks. A very kind neighbor took me in when my owner agreed she could no longer care for me. This good samaritan called WROC and they came for me the next day.
This is the beginning of my brand new life. I am a very handsome 5-6 year old neutered male and I am very partial to my foster Dad. I love walks in the park and I have discovered "Earl", a foot long chicken toy, and I love to play with him. My foster Dad says that I am a fabulous dog and will thrive with a strong loving pack leader - are you the one for me? XOXO Brady
Sophie, Adopted February 2012
My new name is Sophie and I was adopted by by Mom & Dad, Julie & Kevin, human kids Ryleigh & Tyler, and Westie McGraw. I am a beautiful girl with a beautiful new family. Thank you WROC for giving me a wonderful new life.
NOTE FROM MOM JULIE: We absolutely love her. She and Mcgraw are having so much fun - he is actually playing with her. Funny thing to she is the one in control and Mcgraw is on his back. They have been playing all day and are wiped out
SASHA'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Sasha and I am 6-7 years old, 12-13 pounds, spayed, and current on all my shots. My previous owner lost her house and she knew it was best for me to have a new home with WROC. I am a happy, playful little girl who loves everything. Will you love me forever? Sasha
Madison, Adopted January 2012
I have a wonderful new family, Mom & Dad, Garland & Kyle, and "Sherman". Mom says I am fabulous girl and they are having a great time with me. Sherman is not so sure, but even when he shows his tiny little teeth, I kiss him. He will come around in no time. I am having the time of my life! Happy, happy doggie dance, Madison
MADISON'S ORIGINAL STORY: My sister and I somehow lost our family. We were wandering the streets when a good samaritan found us and took us to the shelter. It was a cold scary place, but at least I had my Sis with me. But suddenly someone adopted her, but not me. I was so sad and lonely, almost inconsolable. But WROC was watching me all the while and they came for me on New Years Eve. I was so happy to go home! I am a 1-2 year old spayed female, current on all my shots and microchipped. I am a very sweet and happy girl. Would you be my forever family? I promise, I will love you unconditionally. Happy kisses, Madison
Cooper, Adopted January 2012
I have my new home with Mom & Dad, Ann & Dave. Their Westie Yoda just recently crossed the bridge and they loved her very much. Mom said a house is not a home without a Westie and when she saw me, she just knew I was "the one". Thank you WROC - I am really enjoying life at the beach! Love & Kisses, Cooper
COOPER'S ORIGINAL STORY: One sunny magnificent California day I thought I would sneak out and check out the neighborhood, what harm could that be? The gate was open and welcoming me to explore. I wandered a bit, sniffing new scents and enjoying new sights. I wasn't running away, I was just exploring. But before you know it I was picked up by Animal Control and put in a cage, so scary. After almost 30 days, WROC took me home. I am neutered, micro-chipped, and current on all my shots. Grateful hugs, Cooper
Kelsey, now Olivia, Adopted January 2012
I was adopted by Lisa and Catie, 2 very special WROC friends. My Mom Lisa has been helping rescued Westies for a long time, starting with Elaine and now WROC. I have 2 new Westie sisters, Hannah & Emma and life could not be any better. Thank you WROC - another happy ending!! XOXO Olivia
KELSEY'S ORIGINAL STORY: My name is Kelsey and I was supposed to be someone's Christmas present. People lined up to adopt me at the shelter, but I was not available until December 27. So I spent Christmas in a crowded shelter in a cage with 7 other dogs, we huddled together and argued a bit over who got the most food. Still I was hopeful that my new family would come, but it seemed like Santa overlooked me because no one showed up on my adoption day. Lucky for me, the shelter called WROC and my very own Santa arrived. I am an adorable, 12 pound Westie girl. I am happily waiting for my very own family. Lots of Kisses, Kelsey
Sugar Cookie, Adopted January 2012
Santa Claus was very good to me this year...he brought me Linda, Jim, Chappie, Skye, and Munchkin. Yes, it's true, I have my very own special family and I am the happiest Westie ever! You just have to believe and all your dreams will come true! Sending special thanks to my very own Westie angel, Toto! Much love and many many kisses, Sugar Cookie
SUGAR COOKIE'S ORIGINAL STORY: In the wake of the holiday I found myself looking for a new home. It felt like a difficult feat finding a place to rest my head. You see, I am diabetic and I require two shots a day. But diabetes does not define me, nor does it hamper my life in any way. I am a typical Westie girl, a very special one at that. As I wondered what my fate would be I heard faint bells ringing in the distance. I was hopeful and as I raised my head, I was placed in the arms of my foster family; Linda and Jim. The bells ringing in the distance were from Toto; their beloved dog that recently crossed the bridge. She helped me find my way to them knowing they would care for me until the right family is found. I believe in the magic of Christmas and it was that spirit that visited me and told me to follow the bells that led me to WROC. I am now nestled all snug in my bed, as visions of the Christmas spirit dance in my head. XO Sugar C.
