With the pandemic and its impact in mind, we took a look at our annual holiday Facebook auction and decided, if it fits, it ships!  What better way than to combine as many treasures as possible to make this holiday shopping season easy & fun & support the Westies

Join us for 2 days of extraordinary fun at WROC's IF IT FITS, IT SHIPS FACEBOOK AUCTION, Oct 17th and 18th only!  This is a 2-day auction, Saturday & Sunday.  Shop to your hearts content safely from your home where you will find luxury brands, adorable Westie items, practical goods, and plenty of holiday gifts and bargains!  We have individual items too and plenty "On the Shelf" gifts that are available in multiple quantities.  The majority of items will ship US Priority Flat Rate mail at either $8, $15 or $19.

No one speaks the language of a dog better than a senior dog!  With wisdom and grace already on their side, they immediately transform when a compassionate person gives them affection, companionship and solace. 

Some might say these dogs are lucky, but often the people who have adopted them think that they are the lucky ones.  And, in each case, it is difficult to say just who has  rescued who.

OUR MISSION

Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond (WROC) is the only IRS recognized 501(c)(3) Westie rescue charitable corporation serving all of California.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for West Highland White Terriers, to help control the animal population by spaying and neutering our dogs before they are placed in permanent homes, and to provide the public with education about our breed and its needs. 

WHO WE ARE

• A volunteer based 501c3 corporation with no paid positions.

• Dedicated to saving the lives of forgotten West Highland White Terriers from all situations.

• Our rescues are cared for in private homes where they receive medical care and rehabilitation.

• We never board our rescues.

• WROC supports a no kill philosophy.

• We specialize in Westie skin issues.

• We work with a behaviorist and trainer for special needs dogs.

• Most importantly, senior Westies have a special place in our hearts!

We are looking for special folks who would like to open their home to a senior or older pup. Older pups still have a lot of love to give and many of our Westies do not even act their age. Will you open your heart and home to one of these beautiful senior Westies? They want nothing more than the chance to enjoy the rest of their lives in a home where they will be loved. WROC is not affiliated with any other Westie rescue group in the Southern CA area.  We are the only IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non profit corporation in California recognized by the West Highland White Terrier Club of America.  All of our funds and efforts go to the rescue and support of our Westies.

OUR HELPERS

WHAT WE DO

Our primary focus is securing loving homes for unwanted, neglected and/or abused animals. We take particular care in placing our Westies.  Our screening process includes an application, reference checks, interview and a home visit to ensure the home and family is compatible with the pet's needs and our requirements. We request owners to sign a contract obliging them to contact us if they cannot provide for the animal for any reason.

HOW WE DO IT

Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond (WROC) was founded in the summer of 2008 by a group of dedicated volunteers.  We would not be able to continue this important work without our network of volunteers, foster families, supporters and our adopters that have opened their hearts to a rescued Westie.

Westie Rescue of Orange County & Beyond participates in community events.  We depend upon fund raising events and donations to continue our rescue, veterinary care, and rehabilitation.  If you would like to donate, WROC now accepts all major credit cards through Paypal.

SHAMPOOS & BATHING:  Malaseb Shampoo, Nizoral Shampoo, Calm Coat Oatmeal Shampoo, Zymox Enzymatic Shampoo, OtiRinse Ear Cleaning Solution, 100% cotton white bath size towels

PET BEDS & CRATES & BEDDING:  24x18", round or rectangular beds, Midwest x-pens with x-pen tops, flannel crate pads, new flannel blankets, Lil Stinker pee pads

FLEA CONTROL:  Frontline Plus, 0-22 pounds & 23-44 pounds, Revolution same dose

GIFT CERTIFICATES:  Any denomination, any pet or on-line store, such as PetEdge, Petco, Petsmart, JB Pets.

Gas cards are really needed and one our biggest expenses as we travel all of California to rescue our Westies.

COLLARS, LEASHES & TOYS: 4 foot leashes, collars, new squeaky or plush toys (no rawhide)

FOOD & SUPPLEMENTS:  Orijen, Blue Buffalo, or Anaamaet Grain Free, Trader Joe's or Costco Glucosamine & Chondroitin for dogs, Grizzley or Costco Fish Oil.
